Roundtable Panelist 

Roundtable’s Mission

  • Be the one podcast segment any games industry professional would want to listen to in order to stay up to date with the latest industry business news, and how they influence its future
  • Provide to our listeners unique, actionable and forward-thinking insights that can be used in their analysis and decision making

Availability

  • Record 1.5 hours once every two or three weeks on Wednesdays starting 4:30pm GMT
  • Lead the research and preparation of roundtable topics prior to the recording (usually one or two topics per panellist)
  • Additionally research other panelist topics to bring insights to the discussion
  • The segment addresses the latest weekly news so the preparation starts Sunday to Tuesday the week of the recording.

Knowledge

  • Experienced - whether through work or personal interest - in analysing game and game-adjacent tech industry markets, analysing company strategies, and concluding insights from earnings and M&A analysis
  • Capable of reading what's behind the companies’ communicated information. What are the deeper reasons a decision was made
  • Capable of delivering constructive critiques in a way that delivers relevant insights without damaging relationships with individuals/companies
  • Passionate about levelling up analytical and communication skills to improve the segment’s quality week-on-week
  • Proactive in proposing improvements to the format and providing feedback so we can become the best roundtable segment of the industry

Communication Skills

  • Analytical and concise communication
  • Capable of summarising multiple data points to share an easy to absorb insight
  • Ability to tell a narrative behind the numbers without relying on enumerating the numbers themselves
