As a Principal Engineer, you will work in a high-performing, and passionate team focused on taking our flagship game asset exchange "Immutable X" to as many players and gamers as possible. You'll help them build innovative growth features and incentive schemes to maximise this expansion. You'll have a lot of flexibility in terms of tools, technology and architecture: most of your goals will be product-driven rather than tech-driven

You will have the opportunity to:

• Drive the creation, definition and alignment of technical design decisions & architectural evolution
• Help shape and execute a plan to evolve our tech stack to a modern, distributed systems architecture
• Propose new initiatives and technologies to improve the scalability, maintainability, and reliability of Immutable X systems
• Be a multiplier of engineering capability
• Own the planning, implementation, and release of high-value features and projects
• Create documentation for new and existing environments, practices and processes
• Improve upon existing features of the Immutable X Developer Platform from a user experience, performance and stability perspectives

We would love you to have:

• Deep engineering experience as a high-calibre software engineer in one of these 4 areas:
• Identity - Experience building OAuth authentication systems at scale
• Wallets - Experience with Crypto wallet development
• Developer Experience - Experience defining and shaping a world-class experience for a developer platform 
• Exchange - Experience building a centralised blockchain exchange or an on-chain DEX (AMM or orderbook)
• A passion for upskilling and driving engineering capabilities
• The ability to work comfortably across a range of technologies and are flexible to adapt to the shifting demands of the role
• Previously worked in a scale/start-up environment with high-load Restful APIs and event-driven architectures
• A passion for keeping abreast of new and evolving industry trends
• Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices
• Have a developing or good understanding of the Web3 space
• The motivation to deliver a fantastic product to our users
• Effective communication skills enable you to work closely with your team and have a high degree of synchronisation about goals and strategy
