A bit about the role:

As we head towards a digital world where web3 enables us to truly own our digital assets, we are pioneering in this space to truly bring forward games that enable players to own their in-game assets, but of course, to create games and economies that are fun and sustainable.

As such in this newly created opportunity as an Economy Designer, you will be involved in creating an enjoyable and sustainable long-term economy for Immutable Games. You will work across our growing portfolio of games which currently includes a mobile squad RPG, an arcade sports game, a tactics game, a TCG and an open world FPS.

You will have the opportunity to utilize your current and prior experiences in F2P gaming and combine that with cutting edge web3 economy design to build games that have never been built before. We seek aspiring team players to design systems and economy features, model and balance the in-game economy, and to collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team as we attempt to disrupt the gaming industry.

If you want to create industry-defining virtual economies, love to solve hard problems, and enjoy mixing big picture strategy with diving into spreadsheets, then this is the role for you.

You will have the opportunity to:

Design features and systems that lead to a fun, sustainable and profitable economy
Clearly communicate design so it is understood by a variety of audiences ( both written and verbal)
Align team, partner and key functions around the economy design & model for the game
Define, calculate and iterate numbers in the game economy (soft/hard currencies, NFTs, tokens)
Identify and test innovative design ideas not possible in existing free-to-play games(i.e. market making, buybacks, trading games)
Be involved in having an extremely high impact on our success as you lead the economy design for one or more games

We would love you to have:

3+ years of experience in Game Systems or Economy Design
Experience in end-to-end design of economy-related features within games, including together with gameplay, tokens, monetisation, UX designers
Ability to clearly communicate and align internal and external stakeholders around economy design ideas or decisions
Proficiency in quantitative analysis and modeling in Excel - willing to dive into spreadsheets as needed
Ability to make recommendations on the economy design based on strategic and sometimes competing goals

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

Prior exposure to solving critical economy problems including sustainability, balancing, tuning, systematic testing and unit economies
Open to learning and interested in virtual economies and the web 3 space
Experience leading projects and groups
